Data transfer |

Customer data are always transferred to the hpcPortal in an encryptic mode. hpcPortal uses SSL to protect data in public networks. During interactive sessions, the transmitted data are also encrypted either by SSL (Exceed Web) or by ssh (MindTerm Applet). For SSL, hpcPortal supports code lengths up to 128 bit. |

Authentification |

hpcPortal use digital certificates according to X509 (electronic "passport") to check the customer's identification and to identify themselves for the customer. The customer certificates can be produced by an authorized trust center or directly by hpcPortal. hpcPortal has a Deutsche Telekom certificate. |
